The centre back has been key to his team’s excellent start to the season, scoring three times on top of his defensive duties to lead Wolfsburg to second in the Bundesliga.

He may have received some criticism so far this season, but the statistics will tell you that the little Argentine wizard is still a formidable force – with seven goals and seven assists thus far this season.

The world player of the year has been in untouchable form so far this season, scoring 17 goals in nine league games and assisting three more. Unbelievable stuff from the former Man United man.
