Blues continue fine run of Premier League form with comeback win at Anfield.
Chelsea came from behind to defeat Liverpool at Anfield.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers welcomed back Steven Gerrard and Mario Balotelli after they were rested for the club’s trip to Real Madrid and the home side roared into an early lead after Emre Can’s long range effort deflected off Gary Cahill on nine minutes.
Cahill leveled matters from close range after a goalmouth scramble with the defender’s efforts adjudged to have crossed the line with the help of goal line technology.
After a fair amount of pressure Chelsea went ahead mid-way through the second half with Diego Costa burying an effort past Simon Mignolet after excellent work from Cesar Azpilicueta.
Late on Liverpool were unlucky to not be awarded a spot-kick with Gary Cahill appearing to handle in the box.
