Paul Lambert

Okay, it may seem a little strange putting Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert on this list after he led his side to a creditable 0-0 draw away at West Ham United, but Villa fans will despire at hearing that the Scot thought they were a “threat”. The Villains are as dull to watch as anyone in the Premier League right now and 0-0 draws won’t help to turn that around.

Adam Lallana

What must £25m signing Adam Lallana have been thinking sat on the Liverpool bench as they lost to Chelsea, staring into space as an unused substitute? The England international hasn’t hit form at Anfield at all and it must be even more galling to see former club Southampton streak ahead of the Reds in second place in the Premier League.

Brendan Rodgers

Double Liverpool despair, anyone? It was another bad day at the office for Reds manager Rodgers as they lost to Chelsea, with the most striking thing about the 2-1 reverse at Anfield being the utter predictability of it. Liverpool shot themselves in the foot with a poor goal from a set piece and falling asleep for Diego Costa’s winner whilst they showed no craft to try and get back into it when Chelsea had their noses in front. There are real problems at Anfield.

Steve Bruce

Hull City have been excellent this season under Steve Bruce, but yesterday’s defeat to Burnley at Turf Moor has to go down as a real low point in Bruce’s time as manager at the KC Stadium. The Clarets have looked dreadful this season but, in truth, they were rarely troubled by Bruce’s impotent Tigers and fully deserved their victory.

Eliaquim Mangala

Back into the side for the injured Vincent Kompany, former FC Porto man Eliaquim Mangala’s performances continue to make Manuel Pellegrini’s decision to spend so much money on the Frenchman look like a complete mystery. He was, along with central defensive partner Martin Demichelis, given an absolute nightmare by the QPR duo Charlie Austin and Bobby Zamora.
