Here are the top 11 players who have played for their most clubs:

11) Juninho Paulista – 9 clubs

The Brazilian star played in five countries spread across three continents, the diminutive South American is best known for his numerous spells with Middlesbrough.

10) Robbie Keane – 10 clubs

Keane was unbelievably prolific at times, but was also one of the most erratic strikers ever to grace the Premier League.

He is best known for his time at Tottenham as well as a disastrous season at Liverpool.

9) Andy Cole – 12 clubs

Having started his career at Arsenal, Cole played for a number of Premier League clubs before going on to become the second highest goalscorer in the Premier League with Manchester United.

8) Nicolas Anelka – 12 clubs

The Frenchman played in the Premier League for a number of years with London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea, as well as turning out for top European teams such as Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

7) Christian Vieri – 13 clubs

Certainly one of the all time greats in the footballing world, but Vieri also made a number of massive transfers to top European clubs.

He played for the likes of Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Lazio, Monaco, and both Inter Milan and AC Milan.

Inter spent a massive £32m on the Italian, an astronomical fee in 1999.

6) Ade Akinbiyi – 14 clubs

Despite largely disappointing at the majority of his 14 clubs, Akinbiyi made a number of fairly high profile moves including a £5.5m move to Leicester City.

5) Rivaldo – 15 clubs

Arguably the biggest name on the list, the Brazilian spent five years at Barcelona scoring 86 goals and winning the Ballon d’Or.

He also played in several different continents in a host of different countries, playing for teams such as Olympiakos, Sao Paola, and AC Milan.

4) Marcus Bent – 16 clubs

With three years being the longest Bent spent in any one place, the powerful striker is the only player to have scored a Premier League goal for six different clubs (Birmingham, Charlton, Crystal Palace, Everton, Ipswich, and Leicester).

3) Steve Claridge – 19 clubs

Claridge spent most of his time in the lower leagues, playing for teams such as Milwall, Brentford, Bournemouth, and Birmingham.

He is not that well known because in all honesty he was never that successful.

2) John Burridge – 29 clubs

Burridge’s career did span for nearly 30 years, but at nearly a club a year he still moved around a lot.

He still holds the record for most Football league clubs played for (15). He also won the League Cup with Aston Villa.

1) Jefferson Louis – 30 clubs

A lower league legend, Louis has played for an unbelievable number of clubs. He had a habit of chasing pay-checks, which saw him move around an extraordinary amount. Still playing today, Louis has managed an astonishing 30 clubs different clubs (as well as playing for a number of them twice) in his 18 year career.
