Xavi: Raheem Sterling is good enough for Barcelona

Transfer target told to leave club

Mateo Kovacic has been told he should leave Inter Milan by his national team skipper Darijo Srna, according to Goal.com.

The midfielder is reportedly also gaining the interest of Arsenal.

Mamadou Sakho believes he can bring leadership to the defence

Sakho has claimed that he can bring the leadership that the Reds’ defence needs on his return from injury, according to the Mirror.

The Frenchman has missed the last 10 games with a thigh strain, and said, “For me it comes naturally. There are different kinds of leaders technical leaders, dressing room leaders, psychological leaders.

“I’d rather keep my personal objectives to myself so people don’t think I’m too pretentious. But I am a very ambitious person. I have set personal objectives. The team has set some too and they are quite similar.”

Sunderland reignite interest in Fabio Borini

Sunderland manager Gus Poyet is apparently toying with the idea of going after Fabio Borini again in January, reports the Daily Star.

The Black Cats had a bid accepted for the player in the summer, but he decided to stay at Anfield and fight for his place. However, with opportunities sparse at the club so far, he may be more open to a move now.

Sterling reveals his five-year-plan

England star Sterling has revealed his plan for the next five years, according to the Daily Express.

The forward also told of the best advice he has received from manager Brendan Rodgers.

“Hopefully winning trophies with Liverpool, doing well for England and trying to be at the peak of my game at that time,” Sterling told the club’s website.

“The best piece of advice I’ve been given is to live, eat and sleep football. “It was great advice given to me by the manager, and it has helped me going forward.”
