GK) Wojciech Sczesny

Prone to the occasional error, but Wojciech Szczesny still seems good enough to be Arsenal’s number one for next season, with the Polish international still young and full of potential.

DR) Mathieu Debuchy

A player we’ve not seen much this season due to injuries, but Mathieu Debuchy started brightly for Arsenal since making the move from Newcastle United this summer.

DL) Kieran Gibbs

An under-rated star of the Premier League, Kieran Gibbs is certainly good enough to remain as first-choice left-back for the Gunners for the long term.

DC) Mats Hummels

Linked with a £30m move to Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund, Mats Hummels is surely the answer to the club’s defensive problems. The German international would be a big upgrade on Per Mertesacker and a strong backline could finally mount a strong title charge.

DC) Laurent Koscielny

A player who could rotate with Mertesacker and with youngster Calum Chambers, Laurent Koscielny is a strong centre-back and good enough to partner Hummels in this XI.

MC) Aaron Ramsey

Although in a bit of a dry spell at the moment, Aaron Ramsey has enough to his game to continue as first choice in central midfield for Arsenal for many years to come.

MC) Sami Khedira

Next to Ramsey, a strong and proven world class defensive midfielder such as Sami Khedira could make a huge difference to this Arsenal side, replacing the under-performing Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Flamini and Jack Wilshere in that crucial part of the pitch.

AMR) Theo Walcott

Continuing as first choice on the right-hand side, a fully fit Theo Walcott will add double figures in goals and assists each season to this Arsenal team.

AML) Alexis Sanchez

A player in superb form, Alexis Sanchez has proven an inspired signing for the Gunners and should continue as their first-choice on the left flank next term.

AMC) Mesut Ozil

Despite struggling for form at Arsenal so far, Mesut Ozil is a player with enough class to be worth waiting for, and the German playmaker may finally reach top form if he stays fit, whilst also enjoying a stronger midfield and defence behind him.

FC) Danny Welbeck

A player who could rotate with Olivier Giroud as Arsenal’s main striker, Danny Welbeck can be a top centre-forward for the Gunners if he finds some consistency, which should happen when he fully settles in at the Emirates Stadium.
