The 29 year old has barely featured in the Gunners first team set-up this term, managing just four sub appearances in amounting 46 minutes of Premier League action, and a move away from the Emirates Stadium may well be best for all concerned.

Podolski wasn’t a first team regular last season and the summer arrivals of Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez has further limited his role at the north London club.

Whilst Podolski hasn’t been a huge success since moving to Arsenal back in July 2012 he has perhaps been unfairly treated by Wenger and indeed if the former Koln man isn’t part of the French manager’s plans then a January move may well be wise move for all parties.

Arsenal paid £11m for Podolski and he has scored 29 goals in 76 apperances of which 23 were from the bench.
