Man United are expected to enter the transfer market in January in search of defenders, and perhaps midfielders too; but this could mean that some of the bit part players are shipped out permanently to make room for exciting new additions.

Anderson

Totally surplus to requirements. Anderson could even have his contract terminated, just to get him out of the club quickly.

Javier Hernandez

With Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Radamel Falcao all at Old Trafford, Hernandez isn’t needed. He’s doing well on loan at Real Madrid, who could very possibly sign him up permanently.

Tom Cleverley

Currently not pulling up any trees on loan at Villa, Cleverley will be sold permanently either in January or in the summer.

Nani

Nani is doing well at Sporting Lisbon on loan, but he’s had enough chances at Old Trafford, and will not be given any more. Most likely to leave next summer.

Wilfried Zaha

Zaha was a big waste of money. Currently struggling to even get into the Crystal Palace side, the English winger could benefit with a move back to the Championship.

Ashley Young

Not in Louis van Gaal’s long-term plans, Young was linked heavily to former club Aston Villa last month.

Anders Lindegaard

United have been linked with Victor Valdes, and could rush through a deal due to David de Gea’s finger injury. If the Spaniard arrives, Lindegaard will be even more surplus to requirements than he is already.
