There could be plenty of bargains to be had, as well as a fair share of big money deals as Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United sent players on their way at the start of 2015. Here are twenty players that could be doing interviews out of car windows or speeding down the motorway sometime soon:

Arsenal

Lukas Podolski

Out of form and desperate to leave in order to secure first-team football and protect his international future.

Mikel Arteta

Has picked up too many injuries and has been uninspiring when on the pitch so far this season.

Nacho Monreal

Hardly an inspiring defender, and has struggled when asked to fill in at the heart of defence.

Joel Campbell

Impressed for Olympiakos last season, and with Costa Rica in the World Cup, but has struggled to earn a chance at Arsenal.

Abou Diaby

His latest injury should spell the end of his Arsenal career, as it’s now clear he will never fully recover.

Chelsea

Petr Cech

The Chelsea number two deserves the chance to be playing elsewhere, rather than sitting on the bench at Stamford Bridge.

Ramires

The Brazilian has struggled with injuries so far this season, and if Chelsea can get a good price for him he could be worth letting go.

Mohamed Salah

The former Basel winger has struggled to make his mark in London, and does not look good enough to make the grade.

Andre Schurrle

The German World Cup winner has frustrated his manager with a series of inconsistent performances, and could be on the move for a good price.

John Obi Mikel

A decent player for Chelsea over the years, but outclassed by the new midfield partnership of Fabregas and Matic. Jose Mourinho could pursue some younger back-up as he looks to the future.

Liverpool

Glen Johnson

The England international looks to be on his way out of the club after falling down the pecking order at Anfield, and struggling to impress fans with his performances.

Mario Balotelli

The £16m gamble has not paid off for Liverpool, and the Italian is yet to score a Premier League goal since his arrival from AC Milan.

Lucas Leiva

The Brazilian has fallen out of favour with manager Brendan Rodgers, and after a summer of speculation, could complete his exit in January.

Rickie Lambert

The England international and former Southampton striker was another Reds gamble, but has struggled to make his mark.

Jose Enrique

The full-back is back from a long-term injury, but has fallen behind Alberto Moreno and Jon Flanagan in the pecking order.

Man United

Rafael

The Brazilian defender has been one of the biggest under-performers for United so far this season, and will go if a replacement can be found.

Marouane Fellaini

The big-money signing has improved this season, but is still yet to show the form that made him an Everton great. Has plenty of competition for his place, and United could cash in.

Ashley Young

The wide-man has had his chances of forging a spot in United’s team hampered by injury, and he would surely do better to seek a guaranteed spot elsewhere.

Anderson

The Brazilian outcast has been all but forgotten in the United ranks, and must be put out of his misery in January.

Juan Mata

A controversial one perhaps, but there is no way the Spaniard will be happy with a bit-part role, and if United don’t plan on using him they could get a healthy fee.
