Manchester United could have a distinct Samba flavour to their lineups of the future, with recent speculation linking them to the signings of three of Brazil’s most exciting young prospects.

The Red Devils are building an exciting attack-minded team under the management of Louis van Gaal, who spent heavily on some big-name transfers during the summer.

United now want to build for the future, and recent reports suggest that they will do so by raiding Brazil for its best talent, with the South American nation known for often producing the world’s finest footballers.

If rumours are to be believed, United could get their hands on these three exciting youngsters in the near future, though other clubs are also mentioned as suitors:

1) Talisca (Benfica)

In a potential £35m deal, United have been strongly linked as admirers of in-form Benfica striker Talisca. The 20-year-old has been in outstanding form this season and looks like one of the best young attacking players in Europe at the moment, with the Brazilian wonderkid also attracting interest from big names such as Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool ahead of the upcoming January transfer window.

2) Roberto Firmino (Hoffenheim)

According to some reports, this move may already be as good as done, with United supposedly winning the race against the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea to sign Hoffenheim’s superb young Brazilian playmaker Roberto Firmino. The 23-year-old is a top talent who has really shown his quality in the Bundesliga in the last few years, and he may now be heading to Old Trafford.

3) Douglas Coutinho (Atletico Paranaense)

Another outstanding young striker, Douglas Coutinho has been linked with a £7.5m move to Manchester United in the near future. The Red Devils have been watching the player’s progress and he clearly looks like a great prospect for the future at the age of just 20.
