Bernabeu side join chase for top United target.
The Spanish giants are keen to strengthen their attack this January, with some speculation that big players such as Gareth Bale could be heading for the Bernabeu exit when the transfer window opens for business again in the new year.
Cuadrado’s superb form in Serie A in recent years has attracted plenty of interest from big clubs in the last few months, with United mentioned as one of his main suitors during the summer, though a proposed move to Old Trafford never amounted to anything as the club spent their money on other big names.
One of them was Angel Di Maria, whose departure from Real Madrid has left something of a hole in Carlo Ancelotti’s team, which could now be filled by the signing of the £28m-rated Cuadrado, who has a release clause with Fiorentina.
La Viola will no doubt be keen to keep hold of the talented Colombian wide-man, but look resigned to losing him in the near future, with Barcelona also still considered strong candidates to snap him up this season.
