Louis van Gaal prepared to pay record fee to bring Borussia Dortmund’s Mats Hummels to Manchester United

Van Gaal would be prepared to sanction a British record fee for a defender to bring Hummels to Old Trafford, reports the Guardian.
The record currently stands at £32m, which Manchester City paid FC Porto for Eliaquim Mangala in the last transfer window.
