Van Gaal says Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck would not get a game at Man United
The Dutchman’s decision to sell Welbeck to the Gunners on transfer deadline day over the summer for £16m was not a popular one among the fans.
At the time van Gaal claimed the 23-year-old was not a natural goalscorer, but the attacker has since scored 10 times for club and country, but the 63-year-old insists he still wouldn’t play at the Theatre of Dreams.
“He is now benefitting from playing every week. That was a question mark with Manchester United,” the manager was quoted by the Daily Express.
