Tottenham Hotspur travel to Hull City on Sunday with the aim of getting back into the top half of the Premier League table.

Here’s the team we expect Spurs head coach Mauricio Pochettino to name at the KC Stadium…

GK: Hugo Lloris

Not many Spurs players have impressed this season, but goalkeeper Lloris has been in fine form. He will, quite literally, be the first name on Pochettino’s team sheet.

RB: Eric Dier

Kyle Naughton is suspended and Kyle Walker is still a couple of weeks aways away from full fitness, so Dier will start at right-back.

LB: Danny Rose

Rose has started all 11 Premier League games this season. Despite Ben Davies impressing in cup games, Rose should keep his place.

CB: Younes Kaboul

Kaboul has also started all 11 league games this season. His form has been very sketchy, but he is the captain and Pochettino seems to rate him.

CB: Federico Fazio

On paper, Jan Vertonghen seems to be Tottenham’s best defender by a long way. Arsenal and Manchester United have both been credited with interest in the Belgian, but Pochettino is not a fan. Summer signing Fazio is expected to partner Kaboul, with Vertonghen wasted on the bench.

CM: Etienne Capoue

The Frenchman has started every Premier League game during Pochettino’s reign at Spurs. He hasn’t done much to impress the fans, but the manager loves him nonetheless.

CM: Ryan Mason

Unlike Capoue, Mason has impressed the Tottenham fans, providing a spark and a bit of bite to an otherwise lifeless midfield in the last six league games.

CAM: Erik Lamela

Andros Townsend is injured, so Lamela should get another chance to score his first Premier League goal.

CAM: Christian Eriksen

The Dane’s form has dropped since last season, but he is still the most talented player Spurs have by a long way.

CAM: Nacer Chaldi

With six goals in 10 games, Chadli is among the Premier League’s leading scorers this season.

ST: Harry Kane

Kane was finally given a start by Pochettino in Tottenham’s last game against Stoke City. He didn’t score in the 2-1 defeat, but he netted twice for England’s Under-21s in France on Monday, so he should start ahead of Roberto Soldado, who is low on confidence, and Emmanuel Adebayor, who has reportedly been cursed by his mother!
