Spanish side ready to sell to Red Devils this January.
Atletico Madrid have reportedly agreed to sell £20m defender Miranda to Manchester United this January after lowing their demands for the player, according to the Daily Star.
The Brazilian centre-back has been one of La Liga’s top defensive players in recent times, playing a major role in his side’s incredible La Liga title win last season and run to the Champions League final.
A strong, commanding and intelligent defender, there’s no doubt Miranda could make a superb signing for Louis van Gaal’s side, who have been somewhat lacking defensively this season.
United put in a great display to claim a 2-1 win away to Arsenal this weekend despite many big names missing in defence, but van Gaal will surely still feel he needs to invest in some more proven players in that part of the pitch.
Miranda could now be available for a very reasonable price of £20m, which will surely tempt the Red Devils to make an offer in the coming months.
A number of other top class central defenders have been linked with moves to Old Trafford as well in recent times, but it may be that Miranda will now represent the best value-for-money player on the market.
