The striker scored a hat trick in Manchester City’s victory over Bayern Munich last night. The win leaves them in with a chance with qualifying from their Champions League group despite only having two points before their last two games.

Speaking after the game, the Frenchman said of his colleague, “Ronaldo may be on another planet but Aguero is up there with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. He always delivers in a difficult moment.

“When he’s on his day he’s unstoppable and we needed him [against Bayern]. I don’t need to speak about him — the stats speak for themselves.”

The midfielder played the full ninety minutes in the 3-2 win against the Bundesliga champions, and now hopes that the Citizens will be able to get through to the knockout rounds of the competition.

“It’s a miracle to still have a chance when we only had two points with two games left. We made some adjustments in the second half, we played better. But now we have to win in Rome — otherwise all of this doesn’t count,” Nasir continued.

“In two weeks we’ll see. We showed great team spirit and hopefully this will give us a lift and we can take it to Rome.”

Now the Sky Blues will have to move their attention on to the Premier League as they take on high flying Southampton on the South coast this Sunday. They are already twelve points behind league leaders Chelsea, but a win against the Saints will at least take them in to second.
