PSG Plan Colossal Clearout To Prepare For Angel Di Maria & Christian Eriksen Bids

Which players will PSG shift in and out in the next window?

According to various rumours doing the rounds, Paris Saint-Germain are planning a huge clear-out of their squad in order to raise funds for a massive raid on the Premier League this summer.

Three big-name players could be on their way out to raise funds for ambitious bids for Premier League stars, including Christian Eriksen and Angel di Maria.

POSSIBLE PLAYERS OUT:

Edinson Cavani

Cavani has apprently been unhappy with his role at PSG since he arrived, forced to play out wide to accomodate Zlatan Imbrahimovic. That’s been different so far this season, with Ibrahimovic missing plenty of games through injury, but with the Swede returning to action in recent weeks, the rumours around Cavani are heating up again.

With Chelsea and Manchester City now well stocked with strikers, the Metro has been linking the Uruguayan forward with Arsenal in a £55m deal. The Manchester Evening News thinks he’s more likely to head to Manchester United.

Ezequiel Lavezzi

Lavezzi is the most likely departure from Paris in January, having been forced out of the side by Lucas Moura over the last 12 months. The Express suggest that Inter Milan, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool will all be fighting for his services. The inconsistent Argentine winger would cost a bargain £17m according to the paper.

Javier Pastore

Pastore is probably the biggest long-shot out of the potential outgoing players. He has been in excellent form this season, and is finally justifying the massive fee that PSG paid for him.

If it was down to him, he’d probably stay, but the club may need to shift him, as one of their most valuable assets, to raise funds for further purchases. Goal report that in the summer, Pastore was close to a move to Juventus, and the Argentine could be on his way back as part of a deal for…

POSSIBLE PLAYERS IN:

Paul Pogba

PSG’s interest in Pogba is well known. They are keen on the Juventus man as one of the most prominent (and best) French players in the world. They were rumoured to have offered Pastore in part exchange in the summer, and might renew their interest in the midfielder in the summer.

Christian Eriksen

Danish playmaker Eriksen is one of the few players to have emerged from Tottenham’s disastrous start to this season with any credit. His last minute goal rescued three points for Spurs on Sunday, and his efforts have not gone unnoticed in Paris.

PSG boss Laurent Blanc was quoted in the Evening Standard yesterday saying that Eriksen was one of the players from Ajax whom he “likes enormously”. The 22-year-old would likely cost considerably more than the bargain £11m that Spurs paid for him, and would be a good option if PSG fail in their enormously ambitious bid for…

Angel di Maria

The United player only joined this summer, and is likely going nowhere. But with the Red Devils desperately needing serious changes to the balance of their squad, a massive bid for di Maria would be hard to resist. PSG would probably need to sell all three of the South American stars listed above to buy him, although the rumours.
