The Five Teams To Concede The Most Equalisers In The Premier League This Season: Not Good Reading For Liverpool Fans

Five sides with the leakiest defences when leading this term.

Conceding an equaliser is never a good feeling, and it’s even worse when it’s late in the game. However, some sides are more adept (or inept) at allowing oppositions get at them. The season is still young, but these pandemics need correcting quickly or else these sides face slipping further behind where they will hope to be come May.

5. Arsenal

Equalisers conceded: 4

Starting with Leicester at the beginning of the season, the Gunners have since dropped points to the likes of Man City, Southampton and Swansea, who have collectively taken seven points from Wenger’s grasp in just three games.

4. Swansea City

Equalisers conceded: 6

The Swans are flying high so far this term, but though they are frequently able to strike first, they are equally desperate when it comes to defending late on. Losing out to the likes of Chelsea, after leading for almost an entire half, Newcastle and Stoke, Garry Monk will have his work cut out to correct their problems.

3. Hull City

Equalisers conceded: 6

Starting on the opening day against Stoke, the early season optimism surrounding Hull has slowly dissipated as the campaign rolls on. Having led West Ham twice they couldn’t hang on, and they let a lead over Arsenal slip recently, despite a draw being a credible result.

2. Everton

Equalisers conceded: 6

The Toffees tripped up twice on the opening day against Leicester before going on to allow the likes of Arsenal, Palace, Burnley and West Ham back into games against them.

1. Liverpool

Equalisers conceded: 7

Poor Liverpool – it’s just not their season. Not only do they struggle to hold on to slender leads in Europe, but they cannot stay ahead in the Premier League either, and have dropped more points from winning positions than anyone else this term.
