GK) Alphonse Areola

Areola is a Paris Saint-Germain player but on loan as Bastia, where his form is attracting serious interest. Not yet established, but still looking set to be a top keeper in the future.

RB) Dimitri Foulquier

The versatile full-back made the move to Granada in Spain after the tournament, and has established himself as a starter in the side.

CB) Kurt Zouma 

Zouma is now at Chelsea, and has played very well when given the chance. Rumoured to be heading to Besiktas on loan for the rest of the season, where he can continue to develop.

CB) Naby Sarr

Was picked up by Sporting Lisbon this summer, which is always a good indicator that a player has potential. Slowly establishing himself in the side.

LB) Lucas Digne

Moved to PSG and plays regularly as Maxwell begins to be phased out.

CM) Paul Pogba

The biggest success story in the side, the brilliant Pogba has just been nominated on the shortlist for FIFA’s team of the year.

CM) Jordan Veretout

Still at Nantes, where he is a key part of the overachieving side, who won’t be able to keep hold of the tenacious midfielder much longer.

LM) Jean-Cristophe Bahebeck

Another at PSG, Bahebeck has yet to establish himself in the side and may need to secure a loan to get some minutes.

AMC) Geoffrey Kondogbia

The powerful midfielder has established himself in AS Monaco’s side, and looks to have all the tools to be a top player.

RM) Florian Thauvin

Made the move to Marseille after the tournament, where he now starts and is one of manager Marcelo Bielsa’s favourites.

ST) Yaya Sanogo

Finally has his first Arsenal goal, after a long wait, but doesn’t look to have much of a future at the Emirates Stadium after the summer signings of Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck.
