Here is how CaughtOffside thinks Louis van Gaal’s team will lineup with injuries ravaging the Dutchman’s selection choices.

GK – David de Gea

The goalkeeper continues to be United’s best player and earned the Man of the Match award at the Emirates Stadium last Saturday.

CB – Chris Smalling

Did well against the Gunners and with Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo both injured the England international could cement his place in van Gaal’s team.

CB – Jonny Evans

After playing 64 minutes for the reserves in midweek there is every chance Evans will go straight into the starting XI with things bleak at the back currently.

CB – Tyler Blackett

Taking up the final centre-back spot in a 3-5-2 formation is Blackett, who due to having slightly more experience has been chosen ahead of fellow youngster Paddy McNair.
