We take a look at the best XI available from the summer’s hottest transfer deals including three Chelsea stars, Arsenal’s £35 million talisman and two surprise Swansea bargains.

GK: Lukasz Fabianksi – Swansea City

After being on the fringes of the Arsenal first team for one too many season, Fabianski moved to Swansea most likely on the back of his FA Cup Semi-Final heroics for the Gunners with his too penalty shoot-out saves.

A free transfer for the Swans in the summer proving priceless after six clean sheets already this season.

RB: Carl Jenkinson – West Ham

It would have been easy for Jenkinson to sulk on the bench for a season after being discarded by his childhood club Arsenal towards the end of the transfer window and sent on loan to West Ham.

However, to his credit he’s become a key part of West Ham’s defence in recent weeks.

CB: Calum Chambers – Arsenal

Living in the shadow of Luke Shaw at Southampton before a £16 million move to Arsenal but surely a future world class defender in the making. On the back of a handful of appearances for the North London side Chambers achieved his first ever England cap.

You need only look at his six yellow cards in 11 games to see how naïve he can be at times but a name that will definitely be in the headlines in years to come.

CB: Toby Alderweireld – Southampton

The Belgian, hot off helping Atletico Madrid win La Liga last season, looks as if he has been playing in the Premier League for years.

Southampton would definitely rather make his loan deal a permanent one with the Saints at the moment having the best defensive record in the league.

LB: Filipe Luis – Chelsea

The 29 year old Brazilian was poached from Atletico’s title winning heroes in the summer by Jose Mourinho

An integral part of Diego Simeone’s side last season, Luis has had to play second fiddle to Cesar Azpilicueta but there’s no doubting his phenomenal ability.

CM: Daley Blind – Manchester United

Not likely to play again for United until the new year following a knee ligament injury.

Blind’s absence will be keenly felt after putting in some assured, performances at the base of United’s midfield.

CM: Cesc Fabregas – Chelsea

Just the two goals and 13 assists for Fabregas since his £27 million move to Chelsea in the summer.

The midfielder says he’s playing the best football of his life, words which must be cutting deep in Arsene Wenger.

LM: Angel Di Maria – Manchester United

A stellar last season for Real Madrid, Di Maria has brought some of the sparkling form that saw him help Argentina to the World Cup final to Manchester United.

The 26 year old has now recorded 20 league assists in 2014, more than any other player in the top five European leagues.

CAM: Gylfi Sigurdsson – Swansea City

Deemed surplus to requirements at Spurs where he never seemed to fit into their plans despite a decent enough goals and assists recorded for a sporadic player.

Now returned to old club Swansea, Sigurdsson feels back at home scoring twice and assisting seven already for the Welsh side.

RM: Alexis Sanchez – Arsenal

The decision to sell the explosive Chilean forward to Arsenal by Barcelona looks a more ludicrous decision day by day.

Sanchez has only played 20 times for the Gunners but already amassed 13 goals and three assists.

ST: Diego Costa – Chelsea

The driving force behind Chelsea’s unbeaten league start, Costa is well on his way to becoming a Premier League great netting 10 times in 11 starts.

A welcome change for the west Londoners who’s three recognised strikers last year actually missed more chances than they scored according to Sky Sports.
