The ten largest contingents of away supports in the Premier League this weekend.
Away fans are the lifeblood of the Premier League. The hardcore that get behind their teams no matter how many miles they have to cover at whatever cost. They are always there making noise and generally improving the atmosphere up and down the country. So with that in mind we decided to look at all ten Premier League games this weekend to figure out who took the largest amount of fans with them – and the results might just surprise you!

10. Swansea City vs CRYSTAL PALACE
Travelling fans: 1,230
Total attendance: 20,240
Not many made the journey from South London to South Wales this weekend, but those that did saw the Eagles bring home a valuable point against a much stronger Swansea side.
9. Liverpool vs STOKE CITY
Travelling fans: 1,800
Total attendance: 44,735
Only a select few made the pilgrimage to Anfield despite it not being that far up the road. Those that went’ though, left feeling sick as a late Glen Johnson header stole a point from under the Potters noses.
8. Queens Park Rangers vs LEICESTER CITY
Travelling fans: 1,841
Total attendance: 18,054
The Foxes started the season in blinding form, but their recent results have only sought to keep the fans at home. Everyone has a hard time fitting fans into the LEGO stadium at Loftus Road anyway!
7. Manchester United vs HULL CITY
Travelling fans: 2,550
Total attendance: 73,345
A good number of followers made it to the Theatre of Dreams, only to witness it become something more akin to the Theatre of Nightmares as they went down 3-0 to a rampant United.
6. Southampton vs MANCHESTER CITY
Travelling fans: 2,596
Total attendance: 30,919
A good turn out again, but there must have been a few that didn’t fancy the long journey down to the south coast on a Sunday afternoon.
5. West Bromwich Albion vs ARSENAL
Travelling fans: 2,650
Total attendance: 24,228
Despite generally being quite quiet at the Emirates, they traveled in good numbers to the West Midlands to battle for three well earned points against the Baggies.
4. Tottenham Hotspur vs EVERTON

Total attendance: 35,901
The Toffees faithful have a lot to be cheerful about at the moment, and it’s no wonder that they’re travelling with the team in droves. God knows how much it’s costing them this season, though, with all those trips to European backwaters.
3. Sunderland vs CHELSEA
Travelling fans: 2,978
Total attendance: 45,232
The Blues sent nearly 3,000 up to the northeast with the expectation of furthering their ongoing dominance of the Premier League, but ultimately came back frustrated as the Black Cats held them to a goalless draw.
2. West Ham vs NEWCASTLE
The Magpies always travel well, and they were sent back home disappointed this weekend as the Hammers put an end to their mini-run of good results.
1. Burnley vs ASTON VILLA
Travelling fans: 4,046
Total attendance: 19,910
Despite playing poorly and coming off the back of a terrible run of results, Villa fans remain a credit to their club by turning out in such huge numbers to fill an entire stand a Turf Moor on Saturday.
