With no Monday night game scheduled ahead of a full midweek fixture list, the Premier League weekend has drawn to a close a day earlier and there are ten fixtures to consider for our most disappointing Premier League XI of the weekend:

GK) Tim Howard (Everton)

Has been a fine servant to Everton, but the USA international has been below par all season and was shaky in the Toffees’ defeat to Spurs.

RB) Andre Wisdom (West Bromwich Albion)

Wasted a number of promising openings in attack and, to compound a disappointing afternoon, the Liverpool loanee was beaten by Santi Cazorla as he set up the only goal of the game at the Hawthorns.

CB) Michael Dawson (Hull City)

Dawson was dreadful on the ball for Hull as they were overwhelmed at Old Trafford and the former Spurs captain didn’t do much better at repelling it.

CB) Michael Keane (Burnley)

It was easy to see why Sean Dyche hasn’t really fancied the Manchester United loanee since he joined Burnley this summer – he was targeted throughout by Villa to decent effect.

LB) Paul Konchesky (Leicester City)

Leicester really need their experienced players to step up if they are to stand a fighting chance of survival, but Konchesky was poor at Loftus Road, giving the ball away needlessly and allowing the hosts to get in behind.

RM) Hatem Ben Arfa (Hull City)

Ben Arfa hasn’t found his feet since joining Hull and was hooked early for the second straight game, this time during the first half having barely touched the ball.

CM) Moussa Sissoko (Newcastle United)

The stand-in Newcastle captain has actually had a good season and was one of the Magpies’ better players at Upton Park – until he got one of the stupidest red cards we’ve seen all season.

CM) Oscar (Chelsea)

The diminutive Brazilian playmaker has been at the heart of a lot of what has been so good for Chelsea so far this season, but he was utterly anonymous against an industrious Sunderland side.

LM) Eden Hazard (Chelsea)

The Belgian international has been a genuine contenders for Premier League player of the season so far, but he had a real off day at the Stadium of Light, with nothing coming off for Hazard.

SC) Olivier Giroud (Arsenal)

Scored a goal on his return from a long term injury absence against Manchester United last weekend, but the Frenchman looked a yard off the pace all afternoon at West Brom.

SC) Rickie Lambert (Liverpool)

Lambert scored his first goals for Liverpool this week, notching against Crystal Palace and Ludogorets, but he failed to take that form into the meeting with Stoke, despite having a hand in the late winner.
