GK) Thibaut Courtois – 7
Little to do, as usual, but made a couple of decent saves.
LB) Cesar Azpilicueta – 7.5
Immaculate at the back and assisted Remy’s goal.
CB) John Terry – 7
Assured as ever, and helped out Kurt Zouma when he came on.
CB) Gary Cahill/Kurt Zouma – 7
The English centre-half went off at half time to be replaced by Kurt Zouma. Both of the pair were solid, and weren’t threatened by a watery Spurs attack.
RB) Branislav Ivanovic – 7
Bombed forward all game and almost got lucky
CM) Nemanja Matic – 8
Was key in turning the tide as Tottenham dominated the opening exchanges. Picked up his 5th booking and will now miss the Newcastle game.
CM) Cesc Fabregas – 7.5
Played some great passes and should have had an assist when Oscar hit the ball straight at the keeper. Withdraw late on.
AMC) Oscar – 8
Battled well behind the strikers and did a lot of Didier Drogba’s running for him.
AML) Eden Hazard – 9
A menace on the left as always, linked up beautifully with Drogba for the opener.
AMR) Willian – 7
Worked hard and created chances with his excellent dribbling skills, but shot into Lloris’ body several times when he should have scored.
ST) Didier Drogba – 8
The Ivorian doesn’t have the mobility he used to, but he used his strength and touch to good effect, assisting one and scoring another.
