Vancouver’s Chilean international Pedro Morales has been voted as the MLS’ best newcomer in 2014.
The midfielder joined the Whitecaps from Spanish side Malaga, where he made 15 appearances in 2013-14.

He has also played for Dynamo Zagreb and Universidad de Chile.
Morales becomes the fourth consecutive South American player to win the newcomer award, following in the footsteps of Argentine playmakers Diego Valeri (2013),Federico Higuain (2012) and current Whitecaps teammate Mauro Rosales (2011).
The award has only existed since 2011, and has seen the following winners:
