Premier League giants eye bargain January signing.
Arsenal and Manchester United are said to be on alert as Real Madrid look prepared to sell Sami Khedira on a cut-price deal this January, according to Spanish source Fichajes.net.
The German international has long been linked with an exit from the Bernabeu after stalling on signing a new contract at the club, and Real now want to sell him to avoid losing him on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Arsenal and United are among his main admirers, though Bayern Munich could also provide competition for his signature this winter as he looks likely to be on the move for a bargain price.
Khedira is perhaps most needed by Arsenal, who are well short of quality options in the middle of the park, particularly after injuries to Mikel Arteta and Jack Wilshere in recent weeks.
The 27-year-old could significantly strengthen Arsene Wenger’s side as they look to mount a challenge for a top four place this season.
