Alexis Sanchez is said to be single-handedly dragging his new side Arsenal along at the moment, but where does the Chile international feature in this top 10?

10. Leroy Fer, QPR – 7.28 rating

It’s perhaps a surprise choice at No.10, although the midfielder was impressive at Norwich City last term despite their relegation and has been used all across the middle by Hoops manager Harry Redknapp so far this campaign.

9. Dusan Tadic, Southampton – 7.36

With five key players and Mauricio Pochettino leaving St Mary’s this summer many predicted a crisis brewing, but new boss Ronald Koeman has quashed those concerns with players from the Eredivisie such as Tadic.

8. Angel di Maria, Manchester United – 7.45

Became the most expensive player in British transfer history over the summer when the Red Devils paid £59.7m for the Argentine and di Maria has scored three goals and provided six assists to date.

6=. Danny Welbeck, Arsenal – 7.48

With di Maria coming in at Old Trafford this forward was leaving to join the Gunners and has since helped ease the injury problems at the Emirates Stadium with his pacey and powerful play.

6=. Diafra Sakho, West Ham United – 7.48

Level with Welbeck is a striker signed from the French second tier and yet has been brilliant for the Hammers, scoring six league goals in just eight appearances.

5. Michael Dawson, Hull City – 7.67

Was struggling at Tottenham Hotspur, but just as with Curtis Davies a year earlier Steve Bruce has reinvigorated this centre-back at the KC Stadium and Dawson is playing a lot better as a result.

4. Victor Moses, Stoke City – 7.73

Struggled to establish himself at Chelsea and had a torrid time on-loan at Liverpool last season, but since heading to Stoke things have clicked again for this former Crystal Palace and Wigan Athletic star.

3. Alexis Sanchez, Arsenal – 7.74

After spending a club record £42.4m on Mesut Ozil in 2013 the North Londoners splashed the cash once more with £35m for Sanchez and the 25-year-old has repaid that faith with nine league goals.

2. Diego Costa, Chelsea – 7.79

Another La Liga import now and after netting 36 goals in all competitions for Atletico Madrid in 2013/14 the Spaniard has continued that fine form for the Blues with 11 strikes in 11 so far.

1. Cesc Fabregas, Chelsea – 7.83

Top of the pile is a former Gunners captain and FC Barcelona star who came back to England over the summer and has already provided a hugely impressive 10 assists.
