Jackson Martinez’s agent says striker is not leaving FC Porto

Despite strong interest from Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, Martinez will not be leaving the Primeira Liga anytime soon.

The Colombia international’s agent Henrique Pompeu has quashed claims his client is leaving for the Premier League.

“He is happy. He wants to be champion in Portugal and go far in the Champions League. There is plenty of talk, but he has an agreement with Porto and will respect it. He won’t leave in January,” Pompeu was quoted by the Daily Star.

Daniel Sturride sent to Los Angeles to undergo rehabilitation

Having not played since the end of August due to a succession of injuries the Reds have decided to send Sturridge away to try and regain his fitness.

According to the Mirror the 25-year-old has gone to LA to start special medical procedures as he looks to be ready to return in the New Year.

Sturridge originally injured himself whilst on international duty with England and has since had problems with his calf and now his thigh.

Balotelli will submit evidence to the FA as part of the investigation into the ‘Super Mario’ Instagram post the striker uploaded onto the social media site.

The Italy international has caused great controversy with the post that contained the words, ‘jump like a black man and grab coins like a Jew.’
