GK: Simon Mignolet – 6/10

Had little to do but what he did he did well.

RB: Glen Johnson – 6/10

Started brightly and got forward well and made sure he covered himself going back.

CB: Martin Skrtel – 5/10

Sometimes let Wickham get the better of him.

CB: Kolo Toure – 7/10

Better of the two centre-backs as he made a few good recoveries for Skrtel.

LB: Alberto Moreno – 4/10

Largely anonymous, offered little at either end.

CM: Lucas Leiva – 6/10

Was the busier of the two in the middle. Unlucky not to score in the second.

CM: Jordan Henderson – 6/10

Quiet by his standards, and was also unlucky not to get on the scoresheet.

RM: Philippe Coutinho – 7/10

Exciting. Looked as though he could make something happen, but was all too often snuffed out before he was able to.

LM: Adam Lallana – 5/10

Disappeared during the second half, it was like Liverpool were playing with ten men.

AM: Raheem Sterling – 8/10

The best player on the pitch by a long way, executed an amazing rubble in the second half, but no one was on the same wavelength.

ST: Rickie Lambert – 6/10

Got into good positions, but fizzled out with the rest of the side as the game wore on.

Subs:
Steven Gerrard – 7/10 Gave Liverpool a lift when he came on, and even chipped in defensively.
Lazar Markovic – 6/10 Looked classy, but offered very little.
