They are amongst some relegation strugglers…

Liverpool dropped out of the Champions League on Tuesday night, and they aren’t doing much better in the Premier League. The Reds are amongst the worse chance converters in the league, only beaten by teams that will be looking at attempting to survive this season.

Here are the five worst chance converters so far…

Stats courtesy of WhoScored.

5) Stoke City, 7.9% chance conversion

The Potters have had a stuttering start to the season, with some great results against Arsenal and Manchester City but disappointing ones against the smaller sides. Their inability to take advantage when on top could be something to do with this.

4) Liverpool, 7.4% chance conversion

The Reds have been having a torrid campaign, and this is just one of the many stats that sum it up for them. What makes it worse is that last year with Luis Suarez and a fit Daniel Sturridge they had the best chance conversion in the league with 14.7%.

3) Aston Villa, 6.8% chance conversion

Even with Christian Benteke back in the side, Villa have been finding it hard to put the ball in the net. They will need to score more if they want to survive in the Premier League this year.

2) QPR, 6.3% chance conversion

Except from Charlie Austin the Rs have been fairly poor in front of goal. They will be relying a lot on the forward if the rest of the team can’t improve this.

1) Burnley, 5.8%

It is no wonder that the relegation strugglers have scored the least amount of goals in the league. They will need Danny Ings to keep firing them in if they want to continue winning like they have in the last few games.
