(Video) Why Arsenal Should Sign This David Beckham-Esque Free Kick Master In January

Unbelievable video shows exactly why Arsenal should sign Bayer Leverkusen star Hakan Calhanoglu…

With the transfer window fast approaching, Arsenal fans are hopeful that for once Arsene Wenger will decide to spend in January.

A centre-back and a defensive midfielder are of course the priority, but Turkish midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has been lighting up the Bundesliga recently, and would be an excellent addition to the North London club.

With Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, and Mesut Ozil all sidelined with injury at the moment, the Gunners could do with reinforcements in midfield. At 20-years-old Calhanoglu is a fantastic young talent, and could provide something Arsenal have been missing for a while.

The Bayer Leverkusen star is an excellent player, but has one talent that stands head and shoulders above the rest; his free kicks.

Arsenal rely on their fast and free flowing football, but have consistently failed to make the most of set-pieces. If their opposition is able to break up the play with regular niggling fouls, then the Gunners often find it difficult to create chances.

They need someone who poses enough of a threat from set-pieces, that they will put their opponents off the idea of committing a foul in a dangerous area; Calhanoglu could be that player.

This unbelievable video shows some of the Turkish international’s best free kicks, with some truly spectacular efforts ending up in the back of the net.

Arsenal’s summer signing Alexis Sanchez has shown some promise when it comes to free kicks, but even the world class Chilean can’t hold a candle to Calhanoglu.

He may only have signed for Leverkusen earlier in the year, but a sizeable bid could convince the club to sell.
