On the back of QPR’s 3-1 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park, the Daily Mail have constructed a table of each Premier League side’s away form this season.

There are some surprising positions and if a few Premier League managers saw this there might be alarm bells ringing.

Here are the results from the team with the best away form to the worst:

Manchester City – 20 points

With six wins, two draws and just one defeat on their travels this season, City have the best away form.

Their great run of recent form, including three away wins on the bounce, have seen them catapult themselves back into the title race to be just three points behind leaders Chelsea.

Chelsea – 15 points

Chelsea’s seemingly unstoppable title charge suffered a minor dent in their first defeat of the season away at Newcastle United.

However, Jose Mourinho will hardly care for City have the greater away form as the Blues have already visited the likes of Everton, Manchester United, City and Liverpool relatively unscathed whilst Manuel Pellegrini’s side still have some difficult away day fixtures.

Tottenham Hotspur – 14 points

Spurs home form, rather than their away, has been the reason the North London side only find themselves seventh in the league, at the moment.

With three of their last four away fixtures seeing Spurs grab a winner after the 89th minutes, if they can sort their home form you wouldn’t put it past them to make a top four charge in the new year.

West Ham United – 12 points

West Ham’s draw at Sunderland on the weekend might have clipped their wings slightly after such scintillating form this season, but three away wins and three draws on the road show how resilient the Hammers have been and what a thorn they might prove to be in a few top four prospective sides.

Arsenal – 11 points

The Gunners have enjoyed some good away performances against some resilient opposition such as West Bromwich Albion, Sunderland and Everton but have littered this with inexplicably poor ones.

Will have to do better against Premier league’s bottom sides if they want to continue their Champions League qualification streak.

Aston Villa – 11 points

The majority of Villas points have come from away games which raises some interesting questions about their home fortunes although they have faced some table topping opposition at Villa Park.

Southampton – 10 points

The Saints have surprised many with their early season foray to the top of the table but have seen a slump in their last few trips away with two consecutive away defeats.

Everton – 9 points

Everton have managed just two victories on the road this season to West Brom and Burnley, sides you’d really expect the Toffees to beat.

Roberto Martinez will have to show some of the swashbuckling swagger Everton demonstrated last season away from Goodison Park if his side are to have any chances of bettering their fifth placed finished last season.

Manchester United – 9 points

A comically inconsistent start to Louis van Gaal’s reign has changed to a more robust United if not slightly open at the back. That may go some way to explaining just why the Red Devils haven’t lost an away fixture since the November 2.

Stoke City – 9 points

Mark Hughes side have enjoyed just two win on their travels this season and have proved inconsistent it getting a run of form.

Liverpool – 9 points

Liverpool’s season is possibly best demonstrated through their erratic away form. Brendan Rodgers’ side seem to either win or lose, no kind of middle ground or consistency.

Newcastle United – 9 points

Despite Newcastle’s terrible early season form their revival was partly down to their away form which saw them achieve two wins and three draws.

West Bromwich Albion – 8 points

Despite some dissent from the stands Alan Irvine has endured a steady start to his time in the Premier League and gained a formidable scalp with a win at White Hart Lane but has yet to get any points on the road since the beginning of November.

Crystal Palace – 7 points

Just one win for Neil Warnock’s side, a shock 3-2 win at Everton in August, but since then it’s been a continual sequence of draws and defeats. Though the Eagles have been desperately lucky at times not to snatch three points, most noticeably when visiting Spurs.

Hull City – 7 points

Hull might count themselves unlucky this season after some good performances without result but their mediocre away form hasn’t helped them as they currently sit second to bottom of the table.

Sunderland – 7 points

Sunderland are where you’d expect them to be at this stage of the season mid to lower table but certainly provided one of the more fascinating away results from recent seasons with their complete 8-0 collapse at Southampton.

Swansea City – 5 points

Swansea have had to rely on their home form for their 9th place position in the Premier League with some poor away performances putting paid to their great early season form.

Burnley – 5 points

Despite a tough start to the season Burnley got their first away win of the season last month and looked to have turned a corner in terms of results that could see them survive relegation yet.

Leicester City – 3 points

It all started so well for Leicester this season, just remember that 5-3 victory over United, but their only away victory came in September and since then they’ve lost six straight matches on the road.

Queens Park Rangers – 0 points

And with a big fat zero at the bottom of the table it’s Harry Redknapp’s side who have yet to get even a points on the road this season.

In fact QPR have won just two of their last 40 away games, their most recent defeat, a 2-1 loss to Everton, was their eighth straight defeat away from Loftus Road.
