Here are 10 foreign Premier League January transfer targets which would be great value for money. They include Barcelona and Real Madrid stars who could go for relatively cheap prices next month.

10) Dani Alves, Barcelona

It’s not often that a multiple Champions League winning defender comes on the market, especially one that could be cheap due to his contract running out in the summer. He has been linked to Manchester United and other Premier League sides.

9) Andre-Pierre Gignac, Marseille

The striker has more goals than Zlatan Ibrahimovic this season with 12 already. Another with his contract ending in the summer, he could be available for only £11 million, and both Arsenal and Liverpool have shown an interest.

The right-back is available for as little as £4 million, and would be a solid addition to many a Premier League side. Liverpool are meant to be keen on his signature to replace Glen Johnson.

4) Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Schalke 04

A proven goalscorer at all levels, and Schalke could be willing to let the 31-year-old go in the next window. Tottenham have expressed an interest as they look for a striker to take over from their misfiring forwards.

3) Fabian Schar, FC Basel

A 22-year-old centre-back with bags of talent, Schar could be around to be bought in January. Arsenal are meant to be keen on the youngster to solve their  defensive issues.

2) Xherdan Shaqiri, Bayern Munich

The midfielder showed his class at the 2014 World Cup, and could be available for as little as £9.8 million. Both Manchester United and Liverpool have been rumoured to be interested in the midfielder.
