With Brendan Rodgers failing to impress this season there has been much speculation over who will succeed the Northern Irishman.
One of the main targets is said to be former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur boss Villas-Boas, but the Portuguese coach has denied the rumours.
“I’m not the least bit interested in this. Returning to England is definitely not in my plans. I had talks with Liverpool, a club I admire a lot, but like I said it’s not in my plans,” AVB was quoted by the Mirror.

After a difficult period for Rodgers’ side there was something to cheer about on Wednesday night as they brushed Bournemouth aside in the Capital One Cup.
Summer signing Markovic was among the scorers in the 3-1 victory and Toure has revealed how proud he is of his teammate.
“I am very proud of Markovic. Since he came here, he hasn’t had a lot of chances to play but he’s shown great character and worked hard in training. He is a great boy,” the Ivorian told the club’s website.
Transfer target Xherdan Shaqiri moves closer to Wolfsburg switch
There is bad news for the Reds in their pursuit of Shaqiri as the Switzerland international looks set to join Wolfsburg, according to the Daily Mail.
The 22-year-old has grown increasingly disillusioned at life at the Allianz Arena under head coach Pep Guardiola and is looking for an exit as soon as possible.
It’s thought Shaqiri would set back any interested party around £16m.

In a poll among supporters of the Merseyside club it emerged that former Manchester United stalwart Neville is a more popular choice as a pundit than ex-vice captain Carragher.
The Metro reports that the Red Devils legend is the third favourite among the Anfield faithful, behind Alan Hansen in second and Jeff Stelling at the top of the pile.
Carragher was joint bottom with Jamie Redknapp with just 10% of the votes each.
