The Catalan giants may not be looking to sell each one of these players as complications with their transfer ban may see them unable to bring in replacements, but it is thought that a number of these big names are no longer wanted or needed by the club, while others are keen to get away for one reason or another.

This has alerted the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea ahead of the January transfer window, meaning we could soon be seeing any number of these eight players in England…

1) Sergio Busquets

Supposedly looking for a new challenge after a long career in La Liga, Sergio Busquets could be a high-profile departure from Barca as he attracts reported interest from Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.

2) Ivan Rakitic

A superb midfield playmaker who only joined Barcelona from Sevilla this summer, Ivan Rakitic is already being linked with an exit after struggling to convince manager Luis Enrique with his form for the club this season. There’s no doubt the Croatian international could be a big hit in the Premier League.

3) Gerard Pique

Wanted by his old club Manchester United, it is thought that Gerard Pique would instead favour a January move to their rivals Chelsea, who are also interested in the Spanish centre-back as he looks set to leave the Nou Camp this season after a slight dip in form.

4) Pedro

A £26m target for Liverpool and Arsenal, it is thought that the Gunners currently lead the chase for Pedro’s signature as the January transfer window approaches, with the pacey winger now facing more competition for places in Barca’s star-studded attack.

5) Dani Alves

Expected to join Manchester United in January, Dani Alves looks like calling time on a great career with Barcelona as he stalls on signing a new contract.

6) Martin Montoya

Eyed by Liverpool as a replacement for contract rebel Glen Johnson, it is expected that young full-back Martin Montoya will force through an exit from Barcelona this winter as he becomes icnreasingly frustrated at a lack of playing time at the club.

7) Jordi Alba

Linked with a £25m move to either Arsenal or Manchester United earlier in the season, Spanish left-back Jordi Alba could be another superb purchase by one of the Premier League’s big boys this winter if he is allowed to leave the Catalan giants.

8) Marc-Andre ter Stegen

In a surprise move, another new signing could already be on his way out of Barcelona in the near future as Manchester United ponder a bid for talented young German goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, but only if their current number one David de Gea leaves the club.
