Read the full Chelsea ratings below:

GK) Thibaut Courtois – 7

One very good safe, and although he was rarely called upon, he did everything that was required of him in the Chelsea goal.

RB) Branislav Ivanovic – 6

Customary battling performance from the Serbian, who as always did little wrong.

LB) Cesar Azpilicueta – 7

Excellent performance from the Spaniard, who kept Stoke’s attacking options quiet and was often the man winning the ball back for the Blues.

CB) Gary Cahill – 8

Arguably one of his best performances so far this season, stepped up against a physical Stoke defence and really limited their chance.

CB) John Terry – 8

Equally excellent at the heart of the Chelsea defence, while he also popped up with the crucial headed goal in the first half.

CM) John Obi Mikel – 6

Helped sure up the midfield on his 250th start for Chelsea, on top of his best run of games for two years.

CM) Nemanja Matic – 7

Another excellent performance from arguably Chelsea’s key player, controlled things in midfield yet again.

AM) Cesc Fabregas – 8

Chipped in with a goal and provided the cross for Terry’s opener. Excellent again from the Spaniard.

RW) Willian – 6

Average night for the winger who created little and was replaced with ten minutes to go.

LW) Eden Hazard – 7

Creative source for Chelsea in midfielder, who will be massively concerned to see him limp off late on.

ST) Diego Costa – 6

Worked hard but missed a golden opportunity to score, he should have done better.

Manager: Jose Mourinho – 8

Very competent performance from his team, who will be top of the Premier League table at Christmas.

Subs:

1) Andre Schurrle – 5 – Came on for the final ten minutes, and might have done better with a late chance.

2) Didier Drogba – 5 – Allowed Costa to put his feet up for the final five minutes.

3) Kurt Zouma – 5 – Replaced Hazard after he limped off in stoppage time.
