The Spanish giants are always expected to be busy in the transfer market, and are ready to offload some of their top players in order to raise funds to sign even better ones, with established pair Di Maria and Xabi Alonso both replaced with James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos respectively this summer.

Real could now be targeting more big names as they look to cash in on these world class talents who are all believed to be targets for the Red Devils…

1) Gareth Bale

A deal supposedly already in the works, Gareth Bale could make a sensational return to English football next summer in an £80m move to United, eclipsing his old team-mate Di Maria as the club’s most expensive signing and also the record transfer brought in by a British club. Needless to say, the Welshman is a world class performer and his arrival at Old Trafford would be a huge statement of intent if it did happen.

2) Sergio Ramos

Also a target for Arsenal and Manchester City, £40m-rated centre-back Sergio Ramos has been linked with a surprise exit from the Bernabeu after a long and great career with the club. Still, United should definitely pounce if he is available as they need improvements in defence and there are few better than the experienced Ramos, who has won everything there is to win in the game for both club and country.

3) Fabio Coentrao

A player also interesting Arsenal and Liverpool, £25m-rated left-back Fabio Coentrao is another big name possibly heading out of Rela Madrid in the near future after falling out of favour in Carlo Ancelotti’s side this season. The Portuguese international could no doubt make a useful option to compete with Luke Shaw for a place, whilst also making an obvious improvement on makeshift wing-back Ashley Young.
