Its certainly set to be a very busy boxing day with a full fixture list throughout the UK as the big guns look to keep their momentum going in to the new year.

Friday’s early fixture is a London derby between two of the leagues in form sides as Chelsea entertain West Ham.

Chelsea lead the division by three points, whilst West Ham have excelled this season and occupy fourth spot.

A comfortable 2-0 victory away to Stoke City on Monday evening saw Chelsea guarantee top spot at Christmas.

An early John Terry header was doubled by a scuffed Cesc Fabregas effort, with Chelsea not needing to hit top gear.

Andy Carroll West HamWest Ham cemented fourth spot with an easy win over a struggling Leicester City side last weekend.

Andy Carroll’s composed finish gave West Ham the lead, before the in-form Stewart Downing doubled their advantage.

Chelsea have kept clean sheets in their last three league meetings against West Ham, however they could only manage a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge last sason.

The other two games saw comfortable wins for Chelsea, with the now Manchester City man Frank Lampard scoring in both.

Chelsea could be without Eden Hazard, who went off injured late on against Stoke City.

With Jose Mourinho claiming he will rotate the squad through Christmas, this could be the match Hazard sits out.

Oscar looks set to return for Chelsea at the expense of John Obi Mikel, whilst Andre Schurrle could feature in Hazard’s place should he miss out.

West Ham’s only injury doubt for the game is James Tomkins, with James Collins taking his place should he fail to recover.
Mark Noble is expected to recover in time to feature at Stamford Bridge and will take Kevin Nolan’s place.

West Ham are likely to keep their 4-3-1-2 formation, with Diafra Sakho and Carroll both starting up front.
