GK: Thibaut Courtois

The Belgian stopper will retina his spot in the starting XI over veteran Petr Cech.

LB: Felipe Luis

The powerful Brazilian will step in to help deal with the threat posed by Nathaniel Clyne.

CB: John Terry

No reason to drop the skipper during this crucial run.

CB: Gary Cahill

Ditto for his partner in crime.

RB: Branislav Ivanovic

The Serb will also keep his place, though this time he may be told to stay on his feet.

CM: Cesc Fabregas

The Spaniard will be looked upon to pull the strings through the middle and perhaps pop up with a goal, too.

CM: Nemanja Matic

Matic’s form this season has been so vital to Chelsea’s success that they cannot afford to drop him.

LW: Eden Hazard

There had been doubts over Hazard’s fitness over the festive period, but he has alleviated those to make himself available.

RW: Willian

The Brazilian has been somewhat of an unsung hero for the Blues this term, and should be expected to retain his place in the side once again.

AM: Oscar

Oscar too has been in fine form so far, and his influence behind the main striker could be crucial against a strict Saints defence.

ST: Didier Drogba

Diego Costa’s ongoing injury problems means that he will most likely drop to the bench for this one to keep him fresh for New Year’s Day.
