CaughtOffside takes a look at some of the biggest deals that could be finalised in the coming days as Premier League and European sides look to settle their squads for the second half of the season.

Lukas Podolski

Arsenal’s premier bench warmer and chief Twitter cheerleader could be loaned to Inter Milan imminently with an eye for a permanent deal in the summer.

Arsene Wenger openly mocked a proposed bid from the Serie A giants in the press earlier this week but has revealed after the Gunners 2-0 deafeat at Southampton that Roberto Mancini’s side had returned with an improved figure and Podolski was likely to move soon.

Andrej Kramaric

The young Croat has been likened in style to Sergio Aguero and a fee has reportedly been agreed with his club HNK Rijeka and Kramaric could be on his way to have a medical in London in the coming days.

The move however, hasn’t been met with universal support with Dinamo Zagreb’s Zdravko Mamic, the executive director of Kramaric’s old club, saying the proposed move would be football murder for the forward, he wouldn’t play for Jose Mourinho and would immediately join a long list of Chelsea stars on-loan at Vitesse Arnhem.

Mohamed Salah

The Chelsea winger could follow Podolski’s suit and join Roberto Mancini’s Inter Milan in the next couple of days after failing to make an impact with the Blues since his move from FC Basel last summer.

Although a number of other teams are also said to be chasing his signature.

Darren Bent

Bent’s fallen down the pecking order so much at Aston Villa that he had to wrangle a loan move to Brighton & Hove Albion to get any game time whatsoever.

The time on the South Coast seems to have done the England international wonders however with an imminent move to Championship promotion hopefuls Derby County on the cards.

Krystian Bielik

Dubbed the Polish Patrick Vieira in some reports, Bielik was reportedly in London before Christmas trying to iron out the finite details of a permanent deal to Arsenal.

With the transfer window officially opening at midnight on 3rd of January you could expect Arsenal to swiftly seal the deal with Bielik’s club Legia Warsaw and announce the defensive midfielder in the coming days.

Ryan Bertrand

The full back has been at Southampton in the summer putting in a number of impressive and assured displays.

Bertrand said after the Saints 2-0 win over Arsenal that there are attempts being made the make the season long loan a permanent deal as soon as possible.
