Ron Vlaar (Aston Villa) – Out of contract at the end of the season, Villa captain Ron Vlaar has emerged as a serious target for Premier League rivals Manchester United and Arsenal. Villa are desperate to keep him, but have their work cut out with Napoli also sniffing around.

Paulo Dybala (Palermo) – One of the standout players in Serie A so far this season, young Argentine forward Paulo Dybala has been in dazzling form for Palermo, attracting the attention of the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea.

Sergio Romero (Sampdoria) – Impressive between the sticks for Argentina at the World Cup in the summer, experienced Sampdoria goalkeeper Sergio Romero is reportedly a target for Liverpool.

Mario Balotelli (Liverpool) – Mario Balotelli’s return to the Premier League has proven to be an unhappy one, with the Italian struggling to make an impact and finding himself without a league goal so far for Liverpool. The likes of Inter Milan and Napoli have been linked with moves to take him back to Serie A.

Aaron Lennon (Tottenham Hotspur) – A peripheral figure at White Hart Lane under Mauricio Pochettino this season, Spurs are believed to want £7m for winger Aaron Lennon, with Stoke City and Southampton interested in the former England man.

Tyrone Mings (Ipswich Town) – Chelsea and Arsenal have been linked with young Ipswich Town right back Tyrone Mings throughout the season so far, although the Tractor Boys are unlikely to want to sell as they fight for a return to the Premier League for the first time in a decade.

Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund) – With a release clause at Signal Iduna Park set to come into play in the near future, it is expected that Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus will be moving on, with the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester United and Chelsea scrambling for his signature.

Seydou Doumbia (CSKA Moscow) – The conqueror of Manchester City in this season’s Champions League group stage, explosive CSKA Moscow striker Seydou Doumbia has been linked with big money January moves to Liverpool and Chelsea.

Isco (Real Madrid) – The young Spaniard has found his progress in the Real Madrid first team blocked by a number of world class stars – a situation that Arsenal and Liverpool are believed to be interested in taking advantage of, with the former Malaga man linked with a Premier League move.

Dele Alli (MK Dons) – One of the most exciting young players in English football right now, teenage midfielder Dele Alli is destroying League One with MK Dons and looks set for a move to Liverpool in the near future.

Ezequiel Lavezzi (Paris Saint Germain) – Reportedly surplus to requirements at the Parc des Princes as Laurent Blanc looks to make his PSG side work, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are being heavily linked with moves for Argentine international Lavezzi from PSG.

Lucas Silva (Cruzeiro) – Arsenal are being heavily linked with a move for young Cruzeiro midfielder Lucas Silva, one of the brightest prospects in Brazilian domestic football, but they face competition from Real Madrid for his signature.

Iker Casillas (Real Madrid) – Experienced Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas’ Bernabeu career is expected to be coming to an end, with Liverpool and Arsenal set to fight it out for the opportunity to bring the Spaniard to the Premier League.

Scott Sinclair (Manchester City) – A perennial bench warmer with Manchester City since signing from Swansea City, Scott Sinclair is likely to look to rebuild his career with a loan move, possibly at QPR.

Stephen El Shaarawy (AC Milan) – Having endured a goal drought for AC Milan recently, it is perhaps some surprise that Premier League clubs are still interested in Italian striker Stephen El Shaarawy – but Chelsea remain interested.

Saido Berahino (West Bromwich Albion) – Young striker Saido Berahino has been one of the stand out players in the Premier League so far this season, with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur now being linked with a £20m move for the England Under 21 international.

Luciano Vietto (Villarreal) – Another player linked with both Arsenal and Liverpool, Villarreal are said to want around £12m for in form Argentine striker Luciano Vietto, who only joined from Racing Club in the summer.

Fabian Delph (Aston Villa) – Along with captain Ron Vlaar, Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph is out of contract at the end of the season and yet to sign a new one, with Liverpool believed to be interested in the England international.

Jordan Rhodes (Blackburn Rovers) – Perpetually linked with a move to the Premier League on account of his astonishing goalscoring record in the Championship with Blackburn, Scottish striker Jordan Rhodes almost signed for Hull City in the summer.

Virgil van Dijk (Celtic) – Dutch central defender van Dijk looks primed to be the next player to leave Celtic Park for the Premier League, with Arsenal and Manchester United believed to be very interested in taking van Dijk off Ronny Deila’s hands.

Diego Godin (Atletico Madrid) – One of the leaders of Diego Simeone’s side that won the La Liga title against all the odds last season, Manchester United are believed to be considering activating the release clause of central defender Diego Godin.

Mohamed Salah (Chelsea) – Egyptian international winger Mohamed Salah signed for Chelsea last January from Swiss champions FC Basel, but has failed to settle at Stamford Bridge and is being linked with loan moves to Inter Milan and Real Sociedad.

Ilkay Gundogan (Borussia Dortmund) – Silky German playmaker Ilkay Gundogan is one of a number of players being linked with a move away from Borrusia Dortmund after reportedly refusing to consider signing a new contract, with numerous Premier League giants being linked.

Alex Mowatt (Leeds United) – Young English midfielder Alex Mowatt has been one of few bright sparks this season for struggling Leeds United, leading to Everton and Southampton reportedly becoming interested.

Dani Alves (Barcelona) – Another player who is out of contract at the end of the season, top class Barcelona right back Dani Alves is yet to sign a new deal at the Nou Camp and could be considering his future, with Manchester United interested.

Patrick Roberts (Fulham) – Prodigious Fulham teenager Patrick Roberts has made the breakthrough into the first team at Craven Cottage this season – but Liverpool are interested in bringing him to Anfield.

Xherdan Shaqiri (Bayern Munich) – Liverpool appear to be frontrunners for the signing of out-of-favour Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri, although Juventus are also interested in the Swiss international.

Kevin Strootman (AS Roma) – AS Roma playmaker Kevin Strootman has been regularly linked with Manchester United in recent weeks, although it remains unlikely that the Red Devils will meet the huge asking price.

Keita Balde Diao (Lazio) – Liverpool and Arsenal have both been linked with Lazio teenager Keita Balde Diao, with the 19 year-old reportedly available for around £15m.

Mats Hummels (Borussia Dortmund) – Seemingly all of Europe’s major clubs are interested in signing Borussia Dortmund centre back Mats Hummels, although Manchester United and Arsenal seem to be leading the Premier League charge.

Sami Khedira (Real Madrid) – Perhaps the most high profile player to be out of contract at the end of the season is Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, who has been perpetually linked with Arsenal and Chelsea.

Wilfried Bony (Swansea City) – As the Premier League top scorer during the calendar year of 2014, it is perhaps unsurprisingly that Wilfried Bony is attracting interest, primarily from Manchester City and Real Madrid.

Nemanja Nastatic (Manchester City) – Seemingly totally out of favour at the Etihad Stadium, central defender Matija Nastasic looks set to move on, with Arsenal tentatively linked.

Loris Karius (Mainz) – The Gunners have also been linked with a move for 21 year-old German goalkeeper Loris Karius, who is out of contract at Mainz at the end of the current season and extremely highly rated.

Winston Reid (West Ham United) – Yet another player whose contract situation has identified interest, New Zealand centre back and West Ham star Winston Reid is believed to have admirers at Arsenal and Liverpool.

Aymeric Laporte (Athletic Bilbao) – Young French central defender Aymetic Laporte has been exceptional for Athletic Bilbao and is perhaps ready to move on, with Manchester United believed to be potential suitors.

Martin Montoya (Barcelona) – Seemingly disillusioned by a lack of regular first team action at Barcelona, right back Martin Montoya is believed to be interested in a departure, with Liverpool and Arsenal sniffing around the 23 year-old Spaniard.

David de Gea (Manchester United) – Real Madrid are believed to be targeting impressive young Manchester United goalkeeper as the long term replacement for long serving stopper Iker Casillas.

Mauro Icardi (Inter Milan) – Perhaps the only bright spark during a dismal 2014/15 season for Inter Milan, young striker Mauro Icardi has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea or Liverpool in January.

Morgan Schneiderlin (Southampton) – Perhaps the most important player for Southampton this season as they’ve risen in to the Premier League’s top four, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur could well look to lure him away again – but the Saints will strongly resist.

their goalkeeping crisis as his club, Lille, endure a season of Ligue 1 struggle.

Alexandre Lacazette (Lyon) – One of the best performers in European football so far this season, explosive Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette has illuminated Ligue 1 with his goalscoring form.

Danny Ings (Burnley) – Out of contract at the end of the season, Burnley striker Danny Ings has taken to Premier League football impressively, with Newcastle United believed to be monitoring his progress.

James McCarthy (Everton) – A host of top European clubs have been linked with moves for industrious Everton midfield James McCarthy, including Manchester United, Arsenal and Inter Milan.

Andre Pierre Gignac (Marseille) – Whilst the goals had dried up slightly for Marseille striker Gignac before the winter break, his record this season and contract situation are certain to attract suitors.

Karim Benzema (Real Madrid) – Despite only penning a new contract with Real Madrid recently, French international striker Karim Benzema is still being optimstically linked with a move to Liverpool.
