Yaya Sanogo – Arsenal

The French forward looked set for a big campaign when he lit up the Emirates Cup in pre-season with four goals against Benfica.

However, he has since made just two Premier League appearances and, with Danny Welbeck, Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud all ahead of him in the pecking order, he is unlikely to get much more game time if he stays at the Emirates Stadium.

Sanogo is only 21, so his Gunners career may not be a lost cause, but a loan move would do him a lot of good.

Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Sunderland are all interested.

Fabio Borini – Liverpool

Borini’s Liverpool career is dead in the water, but the 23-year-old still has what it takes to be a success in the Premier League – something he proved at Sunderland last season.

A permanent move would be better, but he simply needs to get away from Anfield in January. Another loan exit may be his only hope of doing that.

Adnan Januzaj – Manchester United

Januzaj was hailed as United’s saviour this time last year, but he has only started four Premier League games under Louis van Gaal.

The Belgium international is too good to remain at Old Trafford if he is only going to be used as a squad player who occasionally has to fill in as a wing-back.

Everton are reportedly interested and a short-term switch to Goodison Park would be very good for the 19-year-old.

Petr Cech – Chelsea

Seeing Cech, who is still among the top 10 goalkeepers in the world, sitting wasted on the subs’ bench is a sad sight.

He is too good to be back-up to anyone, but he has little chance of displacing Thibaut Courtois, now that the 22-year-old has established himself at Stamford Bridge.

Cech should get out for the good of his career, but Jose Mourinho’s promise of a Capital One Cup final appearance may convince him to stay for another six months.
