Goals from Willian, Loic Remy and Kurt Zouma ensured that Jose Mourinho’s men are still on course for the unprecedented quadruple this season.

Here’s how the Blues rated:

1. Petr Cech – 6

Had little to do although the goalkeeper did well with the mostly long range efforts from the Hornets.

28. Cesar Azpilicueta – 7

Reverting to right-back the Spaniard looked equally as assured and provided a good cross for Zouma’s goal.

24. Gary Cahill – 6

Back to normal for the England international after his disastrous time against Tottenham Hotspur on New Year’s Day.

5. Kurt Zouma – 7

The 20-year-old continues to impress and scored his header well, although was shown up a few times by Troy Deeney.

3. Filipe Luis – 6

A better defensive display from the Brazilian than we have seen recently and also looked good from crosses out wide.

7. Ramires – 6

A typically busy display from the Brazil international who’s confidence grew as the match progressed.

12. John Obi Mikel – 6

Did his job of protecting the back four well, but when on the ball is far inferior to Nemanja Matic.

18. Loic Remy – 7

Pushed out wide the Frenchman was sometimes left out of the game, but his goal was well taken.

8. Oscar (Diego Costa, 45′) – 4

Taken off at half-time by Jose Mourinho and the manager appears to be losing patience with the attacking midfielder.

14. Andre Schurrle (Willian, 45′) – 3

Also taken off at the break and even less influential than Oscar and Schurrle’s future at the Bridge is in serious doubt.

11. Didier Drogba (Nathan Ake, 80′) – 7

At 36-years-old the striker led the line with aplomb and his strength caused the visitors plenty of problems.

Substitutions:

19. Diego Costa – 6

Showed his class after coming on and played a part in two of the goals.

22. Willian – 7

Came on at half-time and immediately made the difference with his play in the final third and also opened the scoring.

6. Nathan Ake – 5

Came on late on but had little time to impress.
