The Dallas Cowboys face the Detroit Lions and their intimidating defense in a wild-card clash at the AT&T Stadium on Sunday.

The Lions received a boost this week after Ndamukong Suh was made available for the encounter after his one-game suspension was rescinded for stepping on Aaron Rodgers’ leg twice last Sunday.

Suh saw his punishment downgraded to a fine, and he is relishing the opportunity to play against the NFC East champions, the Cowboys (12-4).

Detroit (11-5) limited opponents to 69.3 rushing yards per game with 133 tackles for a loss to lead the league in both departments. As a result, Suh’s return will be welcome boost against Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray who has helped produce the league’s second-best rushing attack.

Murray has 1,845 yards this season, enough to break Emmitt Smith’s franchise record and to record the third-most in the NFL over the last eight seasons.

Quarterback Tony Romo has also played a pivotal role in Dallas’ success this year after ending the regular season with a league-leading and career-best passer rating of 113.2 along with finishing fourth in the league with 34 touchdown passes.

There are intriguing battles all over the field on Sunday with Romo crossing paths with Matthew Stafford, while receivers Dez Bryant and Calvin Johnson will look to steal the show.

However, Dallas are in fine form after winning their fourth straight game last Sunday while Detroit have dropped 10 of 11 playoff games in the Super Bowl era and its current seven-game losing streak is one shy of tying the record held by Kansas City.

The Lions have won the last two meetings between these two teams, but they will need to produce a solid road performance to make it three in a row.
