Tottenham Hotspur Willing To Sell Star Man If £25m Asking Price Is Met

Spurs considering selling goalkeeper Hugo Lloris in the January transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur are considering cashing in on first choice goalkeeper Hugo Lloris during the course of the January transfer window, report the Sun, but only if their £25 million asking price for the French international is met by a ‘Champions League club’.

Lloris has been one of Spurs’ stand out players this season, as he has been ever since arriving at White Hart Lane from Lyon, and has been at the forefront of a recent fine run of form that has seen Mauricio Pochettino’s side climb to within touching distance of the top four in the Premier League.

Despite this, there have been murmurings for some time that Lloris, who could make a genuine claim to being one of the finest goalkeepers on the planet right now, would consider moving on to a club who can offer consistent Champions League qualification, something not on the menu at White Hart Lane.

Daniel Levy, the Tottenham chairman, is known as a shrewd operator in the transfer market who will not sell his best players for any less than top dollar, so it should come as no surprise that Tottenham have placed an asking price on Lloris’ head that would make him one of the most expensive goalkeepers in history.
