Arsenal starlet Yaya Sanogo has chosen Bordeaux as his preferred destination to go on loan according to the club president Jean-Louis Triaud, reports ESPN.

The striker has been struggling to get match time so far this season, and looks set to be sent out on loan in order to get some first team action. Manager Arsene Wenger has said in the past that he would prefer the youngster to go to a fellow Premier League match,

“It is a possibility, and I would prefer him to go to a Premier League club,” the Frenchman said, when asked about Bordeaux as a destination in the past.

However, it now looks like he will go out to Ligue 1, with the 21-year-old preferring a move back to the league that the Gunners signed him from.

The French club’s president claimed on Gold FM, “Sanogo has chosen Bordeaux. We expect a response from Arsenal on Tuesday or Wednesday.”

The forward is currently carrying a hamstring injury, but is still seen as a good replacement for Les Girondins’ top scorer Cheick Diabate. The striker has been ruled out with a knee injury for the next four months.
