Here are 5 goalkeepers the Reds should be targeting this January:

Norberto Murara Neto – Fiorentina

Brazilian keeper Neto is set to leave Serie A side Fiorentina with the Italian side eager to cash in to avoid losing their no. 1 for free in the summer, reports the Mirror.

The Brazilian has kept 7 clean sheets in 16 appearances for the Serie A giants.

Liverpool have been put on red alert however, with ESPN reporting that Juventus is the keeper’s most likely destination ahead of Anfield.

Mattia Perin – Genoa

Mattia Perin’s agent has revealed that talks have opened with Liverpool over a January move, reports the Daily Star.

The 22 year old Genoa keeper made his Italy debut in November and has gone on to impress with six clean sheets in 14 appearances for the Serie A side.

A £12m price tag has been put on the young keeper.

Petr Cech – Chelsea

The Chelsea ‘old guard’ has dwindled, with Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole moving on, and while Cech remains at the club he has become second choice to talented young keeper Thibaut Courtois.

Liverpool, Arsenal and Roma have expressed interest, however with Mark Schwarzer sealing a move to Leicester, the Czech international could be staying put.

With Frank Lampard proving such a valuable asset at title contenders Manchester City, Blues fans will be hoping another Stamford Bridge legend doesn’t move to a rival English club.

Timo Horn

Brendan Rodgers had targeted Germany U21 international Timo Horn, who is currently playing in the Bundesliga for FC Köln.

Nevertheless, the 21 year old stated his desire in December to remain with the German side and sign a new contract.

Asmir Begovic

Liverpool were linked with Stoke keeper Asmir Begovic in the summer of 2013, and have been linked once more with the 27 year old in the January transfer window.

The £15m asking price frightened The Reds off in the summer, but with the Bosnian international coming to the end of his current contract with the Potters, the Merseyside club could grab Begovic at a cut price…
