Benzema has been consistently linked with a move to Anfield as a replacement for misfiring summer signing Mario Balotelli, and reports in Spain are now suggesting that that the Frenchman has his heart set on a move to the Premier League.

Benzema has reportedly grown tired of the criticism he receives from Carlo Ancelotti and believes the work he does every week goes under appreciated by his coaches, fans and pundits.

The Reds are said to be weighing up a £40m bid for Benzema in the summer, as Real are ready to accept in order to fund a move for Falcao.

Falcao’s future at Old Trafford still has a question mark above it, as his form and fitness have yet to reach their peak.

However, it is believed that Madrid have seen enough of the Colombian international to make a move for him at the end of the current term.
