Benzema Keen On Anfield Switch

Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema is pushing for a move to Liverpool, according to the Daily Express.

The French international would be seen as an excellent replacement for misfiring Mario Balotelli for the Merseyside club, with the 27-year-old so far earning 14 goals to his name in 23 games for the Spanish giants.

Benzema has reportedly grown frustrated with criticism from Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti, and wants a move to the Reds. The striker will cost in the region of £40m.

Liverpool Captain Jets To The US

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has jetted out to the States to seal his move to the MLS with LA Galaxy, says the Mirror.

The Reds captain announced he would be leaving the club just five days ago and hopes to announce the deal with the MLS side within the next 24-48 hours so concentration can be shifted back to improving Liverpool’s current league position.

Shaqiri Deal Agreed

Brendan Rodgers has reportedly agreed a £10m deal to bring 23 year old Shaqiri to Anfield, according to the Daily Star.

With sources suggesting Benzema is keen on a move to Anfield, the image of Shaqiri lining up alongside Benzema will cause delight amongst the Reds support – although it does seem a little farfetched.

Sterling Worth More Than Bale

Raheem Sterling, 20, is reportedly worth more than Real Madrid and most expensive player in world football, Gareth Bale, reports the Mirror.

The Liverpool star has been valued at £49.3m putting him as the most valuable British player on the CIES Football Observatory’s list of players with the most expensive transfer value, coming in seventh ahead of Welsh superstar Bale who is valued at ‘just’ £47m after his record-breaking £85.3m switch to the Bernabéu.
