Their XI includes players from the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga and Serie A, and can be seen in full below:

GK) Fernando Pacheco (Real Madrid)

Real Madrid’s third choice keeper behind the better known duo of Iker Casillas and Keylor Navas. Still only 22, he has made over 40 appearances for Real Madrid B and represented Spain at U19, U20 and U21 levels.

RB) Dani Alves (Barcelona)

Linked heavily with Manchester United in the previous transfer window, he has spoken openly about his desire to play in the Premier League after many years of success with the Catalans in La Liga.

LB) Maxwell (PSG)

Has already played in Spain, Italy and France, and could be looking to tick the Premier League off his list as well. The 33-year-old Brazilian has been an important to PSG’s rise over recent years.

CB) John Terry (Chelsea)

The 34-year-old centre-back offers a wealth of experience and his retirement from international duty may prolong a decorated career. Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has claimed Terry’s contract extension is a “formality”, but it’s not done yet.

CB) Kolo Toure (Liverpool)

Liverpool and Ivory Coast centre-back Toure could be a January transfer steal if Liverpool fail to extend his current contract. He won his place back in the Reds team earlier this season, and has arguably been their stand-out performer this term.

DM) Mikel Arteta (Arsenal)

Despite inheriting the captain’s armband in August after Thomas Vermaelen moved to Barcelona, his future remains uncertain after an unfortunate runs of injuries. Has also played in Scotland, Spain and France.

CM) Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)

Could now be taken off this list after agreeing a move to LA Galaxy yesterday evening. After retiring from international duty following a dismal 2014 World Cup, the Reds captain will seek a fresh challenge for his curtain call.

CM) Sami Khedira (Real Madrid)

If he can put an injury-plagued season behind him, the former Arsenal and Chelsea target could prove a huge bargain for someone in Europe. Still only 27, the German World Cup winner could have plenty to offer.

RM) James Milner (Manchester City)

Manuel Pellegrini spoke of his admiration for Milner after the England international’s two late goals against Sheffield Wednesday kept Man City in the FA Cup, but he refuses to put pen to paper on a new deal as he struggles to hold down a first team spot.

LM) Jose Antonio Reyes (Sevilla)

Seven years after leaving Arsenal to return to his homeland Spain, Sevilla left winger Jose Antonio Reyes could be a target for Premier League clubs in January. Still only 31, he has proved he can adjust his game to match those at the top level.

ST) Didier Drogba (Chelsea)

After his romantic return to Stamford Bridge from Galatasaray this season, the Ivorian has proved that at 36 years old he remains a world-class force in front of goal, and could be a decent buy even now.
